Tables from the SZU Proposal for 2021

In 2021, based on the results presented as of April 1, 2022 notified in the ESA 2010 methodology, the public administration managed a deficit of 5,973,144 thousand. EUR, which represents - 6.2% of GDP. The original budget of the public administration from December 2020 assumed economic growth at the level of -7.4%. Due to the continued spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world, it was necessary to respond to unfavorable economic developments and the need to ensure spending on anti-pandemic measures. The amendment to the State Budget Act assumed a deficit of public administration at the level of -10.6% of GDP. The public administration debt as of 31 December 2021, based on the first notification of results in the ESA 2010 methodology, reached the amount of 61,259,407 thousand. euros and in relation to the calculated GDP reached 63.1%. Due to the expected expenses for the fight against the pandemic and lower public administration revenues, the public debt was expected to increase to the level of 65% of GDP. According to the spring notification, the growth of the real economy reached 3.0% (GDP growth at constant prices). The predicted scenario of economic development from March 2021 during the processing of the amendment to the State Budget Act estimated GDP growth at the level of 3.3%. Nominal GDP reached 97,122,509 thousand. euros (at current prices), which is 5,043,256 thousand euro more than in 2020.
